the inspiration

I was inspired to write Journey Down the River Wander after the birth of my niece. I wanted to tell an adventurous story that you might encounter in a children’s book, but with sound instead of words. At the same time, I wanted to stay within my ambient roots, and create meditative and relaxing soundscapes that my niece could listen to for nap time. The result is a fantastical journey of a young girl and her boat through three different environments, filled with the sounds of mystical wildlife and living landscapes and topped off with the soothing charm of organic and synthetic musical elements alike.
